A huge Thank You to everyone who shared their quilts with us for the Summer Quilt Show!! We had some especially lovely quilts on display.

Unfortunately, a mix-up prevented us from getting pictures of all the winning quilts, so we can’t show them here, but we can list the winners:

 Large: Cheryl Bond

Medium: Mary Adams

Small: a tie between Jewell Morgan and Joyce Emerald

Hand-Quilted: Annette Doell

Applique: Mary Ching

Master: Christine Wickert

Congratulations, ladies!!!

Thank you, too, to the volunteers who helped us set up and take down the show! We (literally!!) couldn’t have done it without your help!!

Can you believe it?! It’s time again for our

YWCA WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS PROJECT!!

Many of you have helped us in past years with our Christmas fundraiser for the women of the YWCA. Last year, you brightened Christmas for over 200 women by making pillowcases and donating the personal hygiene items to fill them with. We’re told that the need is greater than ever, so let’s try to beat that number!! There are lots of ways to help us reach our goal:

• Start making pillowcases (pick up a free pattern at the store, or look online – Crafty Gemini has a great YouTube video that shows you how to make a pillowcase with no raw edges).

• Watch store circulars and start collecting the following full-sized personal hygiene items when they’re on sale:

 Body Wash & Lotion

Chapstick

 Shampoo & Conditioner

Deodorant

 Kleenex Purse Packs

 2017 Date Books

 Q-Tips

Dental Floss

 Brushes and Combs

Scrubby Balls or Gloves

… and money is always acceptable – we’ll do the shopping!

NOTE: Please keep the items you’re collecting at home until we notify you that we’ve got the space for them.

• Start collecting shopping bags (the sturdy kind with handles, not the flimsy plastic ones).

• Take your returnables (bottles and cans) to EZ Can Return (at 1259 Fairport Road), and tell them you’re donating the refund money to Patricias’. We’ll put that money toward the Pilowcase Project.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US HELP THEM!!
